FAQs

“Your site says freight charges will be calculated at shipping. What does that mean?”
We don’t put a set shipping amount on each piece, because we charge based on how much the package weighs when we ship it. If you order more than one piece, shipping charges are combined for the lowest price possible to you. 🙂 Please feel free to email me or call for a shipping quote at any time.

“Do you charge a shipping and handling fee or other hidden shipping fees?”
No, we never charge a shipping and handling fee, or any other hidden fees. We charge the amount it costs us to ship it to you, and in some cases, we charge less than actual charges.

“How much do you charge for shipping?”
As I stated before, we charge based on weight, and how much it costs to ship the item to you. For most of our items, this will be between $4.50 and $7.50. If you are ordering something exceptionally large or heavy, it could be a little more. We charge around $15-$20 to ship a lamp, even though it usually costs us much more than that to ship them. And again, please feel free to email me or call if you have any questions about shipping prices.

“What shipping options do you offer?”
For almost everything we sell, we ship USPS Priority Mail. This gets the order to you as quickly as possible.
For larger orders, such as lamps, we usually ship UPS Ground, as it is cheaper than priority mail for the bigger boxes. If you have a special shipping request, just let us know, we are happy to work with you. 🙂

“When will I receive my items?”
We do our very best to get things out the next day that mail goes out. In some cases, it may take us a little longer, if we have to find the item in storage. I don’t like to wait when I order things on line, so I assume you don’t, either. 🙂 And if your item is sent priority mail, it should arrive 2-3 days after shipping. UPS Ground can take up to a week if you live on the other side of the country from us. (We are on the West coast) But rest assured, I always do my best to get your package to you as quickly as possible. 🙂

“Do you offer layaways?”
Yes, we do offer layaways. We have a pretty simple layaway plan…Anything down, anything a month. 🙂 As long as we know you’re still there and making monthly payments, that’s good enough for us.

“Can I buy a gift for someone and have you send it?”
Absolutely. If you are ordering an item as a gift, just let us know what you need done, and we’ll do our best to help out.

“How can I tell if it’s Fenton?”
We’ve devoted an entire blog post to this question, which can be found here.

  1. I have a compote {?} what I would call a mint green w/flowers, white petals brown centers on the outside with green stems and leaves. The top of the bowl is {what I call} ruffled and there are four flowers inside the top. It is signed B. Cowers. Can you tell me when this was first made?? Thank You.

  3. are you participating in any of the fall 2009 fenton signing events? If not, can we still buy the buttercup basket?

    • We are not having a signing event this year. We won’t be having the yellow basket, but if you have any trouble finding one, let us know and we will try to get you one. 🙂

  4. hello, i have a fenton peachcrest (i think) deep pink cornucopia… there is a tiny “string” of glass measuring about half an inch and looking one shade lighter than the finished deep pink on top of one of the ruffles… looks as if a little more of this material is at the bottom on the inside… does this sort of thing diminish its value? this is an older piece that is not signed… thanks in advance for any info you could give…
