Fenton Canada Bears

These are some mini bears we had made in 2010 for all of our Canadian friends. 🙂 They are Fenton’s 5251 mold, about 2 3/4 inches tall. Factory painted.  Only 29 of these were made. They are light brown with a Canadian Maple Leaf painted on their head. “Exclusively for Collectors’ Showcase” is on the bottom of each one. Really cute!

New Collectors’ Showcase Exclusive!

We just received the latest Collectors’ Showcase Exclusive from Fenton! It’s a 4 inch lavender satin egg, hand painted at the factory by JK Spindler with a lovely purple floral and butterfly design. Only 147 of these were made.

Displays beautifully with this special order bird from 2010.

New Kelsey Murphy pieces!

We got a few one of a kind Kelsey Murphy pieces in over the weekend. Mostly sand carved Fenton animals, and one 5 color paperweight blown by Ron Hinkle. All beautiful!

Father’s Day!

Father's Day Bears

Well, I feel like I missed Spring this year. April and May are gone, along with the first week of June already! Yikes!
Father’s Day is just 2 weeks away, on the 21st. So here is our Collectors’ Showcase exclusive Father’s Day bear set, limited to 150 sets.
There is a Daddy bear and a baby bear, all dressed up for a day of golf! Baby bear’s hat reads, “T-TIME”, and is holding a card that reads, “TO DAD”, and a golf club. Dad’s hat reads, “#1 DAD”. Perfect gift for the Father or golfer in your life! 🙂

Happy Memorial Day!

Memorial Day Soldier Bears

I am sorry to get this Memorial Day post out a little late! My Mom ended up back in the hospital this week with a MRSA infection in her hip. 😦 The doctor originally thought it was in the bone, and that they would have to go in and cut the whole hip out and RE-replace it. That was a nightmare!
Thank goodness, after taking her in for surgery to clean it up and check things out in there, they found out it had not gotten into the bone! Thank you so much to all our friends who sent their thoughts, love, and prayers our way! 🙂
So she still needs to be on IV antibiotics for a few weeks, but this was much better news!!
Anyway, back to Memorial Day……Check out this website that details all the etiquette surrounding flying an American flag.
My family has been studying our Founding Fathers and the early history of our amazing country, and a dear friend of mine sent me this link. This weekend, let’s all remember all the sacrifices that have been made to make and keep us a free nation, and try to remember to appreciate them and live in a way to honor that all year long!

“Fire Cat”

WOW! This is an amazing alley cat! Aubergine carnival carved by Kelsey Murphy with a fire-breathing dragon clashing with a magic-wielding wizard. Out of this world!
(This cat sold immediately, but I wanted to share it with you before I sent it out.)
I will be attending a class Friday and Saturday. I will check my email if I can, but if you don’t hear back from me right away, that’s the reason.

“Purrfect Iris”

OK, here is the first of several new Kelsey Murphy pieces I’ll be uploading in the next few days. 🙂
This one is carved on a sky blue iridized Fenton alley cat. (This cat is a second, as these were very rare, made for VIP night 2007.)
It is carved with a large iris and beautiful, intricate butterflies. The bottom is signed “Purrfect Iris Kelsey Made In Heaven”.

Mother’s Day

Mother's Day Bears

Being in the hospital with my own Mother, then taking care of her at home, Mother’s Day kind of snuck up on me this year!
I wanted to share our Fenton Mother’s Day bear set with you. There were only 100 of these made, exclusively for Collectors’ Showcase. The set includes a Mama and a Baby bear. The baby is holding a card that reads, “To Mom”. These are the perfect gift to show your Mom how much she means to you, and to remind her of your times together. 🙂

Collectors’ Showcase Exclusive Fenton Overlay Hats!

Well, Mom has found some really neat treasures once again. 🙂
Evidently in 1986 (I was 9 or 10 at the time 😉 ) she had Fenton make some special order overlay hat vases for her. There were periwinkle overlay, dusty rose overlay, and teal overlay, diamond optic, spiral optic, and honeycomb optic, and straight or ruffled edges, all together totalling 269 picese! This means that each individual style is VERY LIMITED!
I have added a few of them to our website, and will be adding some more soon.
There is also a whimsey vase in periwinkle overlay diamond optic that is unique.
